Sweet Root Village Styled Shoot

In July I had the awesome opportunity to assist Sweet Root Village with a styled shoot, featured today on Style Me Pretty (go check it out!). All the details and decor for this styled wedding shower was done by SRV and the yummy, beautiful food was made by the lovely Rachel Bridgewood, one half of Sweet Root Village partnership.

This party was so much fun and I learned a lot from the experience of shadowing the shoot! I'm so glad that I was able to bring my camera and snap some shots of the wedding shower which was the party they styled for. :) Enjoy the photos!

 These drunken peaches were made in advance as the wedding favors for their wedding guests, made by the groom himself! So neat! :)

Flower Field Shoot

The other day as I was driving home, I spotted a field of yellow flowers in full bloom on the side of the road. I knew I just had to get a photo shoot in that day, so I got home, asked my sister (and favorite model) to come be the subject of the shoot and she graciously accepted, dropping everything as we headed out to catch the evening light.

We had so much fun running through the field and goofing off as we ran on the side of the road watched by the skeptical commuters sitting in traffic. ;) Styling for this shoot came together so well and I'm so happy with how the photos turned out! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
